I’m Joni
Registered Clinical Nutritionist and Registered Nutrition Coach
I help people simplify nutrition, take control of their health and feel amazing – without the confusion or unrealistic rules.
I don’t do fads. I don’t do one size fits all.
My approach is client-led, evidence based and personalised strategies tailored to your individual needs.
If you’re experiencing stress, burnout, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, or simply feeling out of sync with your health, we work together to create a way forward that feels realistic, supportive, and achievable.
We use a whole-body approach to wellness by looking at nutrition, hormones, stress, sleep, and movement. I use evidence-based practices, personalized nutrition strategies, supplementation and functional testing where needed, to better understand what’s happening beneath the surface and guide personalised recommendations.
I have a special interest in supporting individuals with ADHD, while also working broadly across gut health, women’s health, and overall wellbeing.

The Process
1Book a 15min Free Call
Together, we’ll decide on a timeframe that suits your needs, your goals, and what’s currently going on for you.
I believe working together over a period of time, rather than a one-off session leads to far better outcomes. It allows us to build momentum, support behaviour change, and create sustainable habits that actually last.
This approach gives us the space to understand your body, track progress, and make adjustments along the way, so you’re not just making short-term changes, but creating long-term results.
2Get a Personalised Plan
A tailored nutrition approach designed for your body, your goals, and your lifestyle. It could be as easy as a one off plan to set you on your way, or more regular catchups to solidify what you learn and see long lasting changes.
3Feel Better, Every Day
No more second-guessing your nutrition. With the right support, you’ll have more energy, feel more balanced, and enjoy food without stress.
Check your insurance policy to see if you can claim: NIB, Accuro, Southern Cross.

A little bit about me,
Before entering the world of nutrition, I spent 18 years as a successful hairdresser and owned my own salon for almost five of those years. I loved the pace, the creativity, and the people! But behind the scenes, my health was falling apart. Digestive issues, burnout, and constant fatigue were becoming my normal.
So I stepped back and stopped hairdressing to study Health Science at Massey University.
I thought I was finally on the right path. But university was incredibly hard. I’d either hyperfocus for hours and forget to eat, or procrastinate until the last minute and drown in the pressure of papers, lectures, and exams. I couldn’t understand why it felt impossible to manage what others seemed to find easy.
Covid also hit and juggled small kids, my husband’s business, uni and a salon – I was DONE!
So I sold the salon, quit uni, we moved to Queenstown and I found out that I had ADHD, as I was getting my daughter assessed too (We are a whole neurodiverse household here)!!
This ADHD diagnosis was when everything clicked.
Suddenly, my lifelong patterns made sense. The endless energy, the multitasking, the overcommitment, the all-or-nothing approach…. it wasn’t a lack of willpower, it was how my brain was wired.
So I shifted my path. I moved my studies to Nutritional Science through The Learning Cloud Australia, where I could learn at my own pace and in a structure that worked with, not against my brain.
Later, I completed my education with the Holistic Performance Institute, which offered the kind of flexible, practical, and integrative learning environment that finally made it click.
I joined the Clinical Nutritionists Aotearoa Nz Committee, got registered and then continued on my training in Health coaching with Holistic Performance Institute to then become registered with HCANZA.
Now, through It’s Good For You, I combine evidence-based nutrition with real-world understanding. I’m especially passionate about helping clients with ADHD and neurodiverse experiences navigate health in a way that feels achievable, sustainable, and empowering.
The mind and body are deeply connected and learning to work with that connection, not against it, has been the most powerful part of my own journey.
I also love working with people who have many different health concerns. Including gut health, hormones, women’s health, children’s nutrition and more!
If you’re ready to cut through the noise and find an approach that fits you, let’s connect.
When you find your why, you don’t hit snooze! You make it happen

A little bit about me,
People deserve to feel confident in their food choices and it is a great joy of mine to see people thrive too.
I have a deep passion for nutrition and recognising the transformative power of embracing a lifestyle centered around whole foods, as it makes an incredible difference to health.
There is so much value in authentic and supportive relationships and understanding the impact it has on life. As I journey towards becoming a clinical nutritionist, I am an active student member of the Clinical Nutrition Association, as well as being on their committee, and looking after their social media and newsletters.
This opportunity allows me to gain insights from other practitioners, as well as contributing to a team who is dedicated in seeing others thrive
