A little bit about me,
My name is Joni, I am a Registered Clinical Nutritionist, Nutrition Coach and on the Clinical Nutrition Association Committee.
I’ve been a hairdresser for 18 years and also owned and ran my own salon for 5 years. However, life has a way of leading us down unexpected paths.
Along the way, I encountered various health issues with myself, this sparked a deep passion within me for healing ourselves through food, lifestyle, and overall wellness. This newfound passion became a side pursuit alongside my hairdressing career.
I gained knowledge and experiences that ultimately pushed me to pursue a health science degree at Massey University. It was during my studies that I discovered my true love for nutritional science and understanding the incredible capabilities of our bodies.
Throughout my personal healing journey, I wished for someone who could provide guidance, support, and education. This desire motivated me to create “It’s Good for You” so that I could assist others on their own nutrition, food, and health coaching journeys.
Navigating the complex world of nutrition and wellness can be overwhelming, with an abundance of conflicting information to sift through.
I’ve created the perfect space to work with individuals, helping them on their nutrition journeys while continuing to learn and grow.
As a registered clinical nutritionist, this path aligns perfectly with who I am now and the individuals I aspire to support and guide.

I have a deep passion for nutrition and recognising the transformative power of embracing a lifestyle centered around whole foods, as it makes an incredible difference to health.
There is so much value in authentic and supportive relationships and understanding the impact it has on life. As I journey towards becoming a clinical nutritionist, I am an active student member of the Clinical Nutrition Association, as well as being on their committee, and looking after their social media and newsletters.
This opportunity allows me to gain insights from other practitioners, as well as contributing to a team who is dedicated in seeing others thrive
